Description
The highly acclaimed 504 Play premieres on August 30, 2025, at the Orpheum Theater, bringing a powerful story of resilience, identity, and community to the stage.
Written and directed by Anthony Bean, choreographed by Real Washington, and with vocal direction by Brittney Crayton, the drama follows Aikeem (Jordan Bates), a young man determined to rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina by engaging the city’s youth through a concert that raises awareness of their struggles and hopes for the future. Blending energetic dance with blues, gospel, and hip-hop, the production celebrates the spirit of New Orleans while highlighting themes of inclusion and perseverance. Featuring over 50 young performers from the Anthony Bean Performing Arts Summer Program, the play promises an authentic, moving, and inspiring theatrical experience.
